Service Delivery Options
OWN believes in care closer to home whenever possible and appropriate. At our many locations across Ontario, we offer a variety of service options to accomplish this:
In-Person
Assessors will see the client in-person at the clinic closest to home. We prioritize in-person assessments. Certain services (e.g., surgery, diagnostics, injections, etc.) can only be provided in-person.
Telemedicine (mix of in-person and virtual)
One of the assessors will see the client in-person at the clinic closest to home and the other assessor will join via videoconference from another location.
Virtual Care
We recognize that in-person attendance may not always be possible or appropriate for every client. For example, OWN was a leader in developing a holistic virtual care model during the COVID pandemic and quickly resumed access to care following the pandemic shutdowns of April 2020 while still providing a high quality of care. If unable to attend in person and if virtual care is clinically appropriate, clients can have a comprehensive holistic assessment entirely via videoconference. The assessors will review consent and privacy before each virtual assessment.
